Morgans Burgers, at the Milford shopping centre in Auckland officially opened yesterday – Monday 10th December at 5.00pm. I was lucky to get along on the Sunday night before opening for a Friends and Family sneak preview and I was highly impressed.
The concept is simple – choose your burger, then visit the salad cart to add condiments. The salad cart is on the back of a produce truck right in the middle of the restaurant, something I’ve never seen before. Standard burgers can be ordered as 1/4 pound, 1/2 pound or a whopping 1 pound burger.

Morgans Burgers don’t just do the traditional Beef burgers, there’s something for everyone with a selection of Chicken, Lamb, Fish, Vegeterian and some Exotic burgers that you just can’t get anywhere else – the likes of Venison, Buffalo, Ostrich and Wild Pork. Being fully licenced Morgans Burgers have a good selection of wine and beer, as well as the usual non-alcoholic range of juice and fizzy drink.
What I did like was that Morgans Burgers bake their own burger buns, and also have an option for those requiring a gluten free option.
Not after a burger? Morgans Burgers has salad’s, Chicken Wings, Spare Ribs etc and even have a separate kids menu to keep the little ones happy.
After you’ve finished your meal the ice-cream bar has a full selection, or you can relax with some coffee and cake.
Other good points to mention
- Kids are kept happy with a games room, with everything from toy blocks for toddlers right up to the older kids with a pinball machine.
- Opening hours are 9am-9pm with the grill opening from 11am.
- Lots of seating for large parties, including outdoor balcony.
- Fantastic view across Milford.
