Remote Desktop RDP Window wont maximise properly

I’ve got an issue on my work notebook whereby the Remote Desktop RDP Window wont maximise properly and I have finally found a fix for this problem. My screen resolution is 1366×768.

Previously I’ve had to close the RDP window, and reconnect, ensuring that the connection properties were set to Full Screen. I was able to replicate this on my home PC, but only if I dropped the screen resolution to 1366×768. I’ve put up with this for a while, it’s been on my to-do list, but I’ve never got around to looking at it.

I wrote last week about having to manually fail a disk with faulty sectors in a MD3000i Disk Array before Dell came on site to swap the drive over.

After the Dell tech had left, and the SAN had rebuilt,the new disk, the Unreadable Sectors error was still present. The below commands clear the Unreadable Sectors message on Dell MD3000i

To mark all unreadable sectors as good once again, the following command had to be repeated in smcli.exe. (See previous post for details on smcli.exe)

clear allVirtualDisks unreadableSectors;

After this command the array appears to be fully functional and back as it was.
